During this time, Po learns that Shifu's cold and distant behavior stems from his own shame over Tai Lung's betrayal, having raised him from infancy. At Chorh-Gom Prison, Zeng's warnings are ignored, and Tai Lung escapes. Shifu informs Oogway of the event, with the tortoise making Shifu promise to believe in Po as the Dragon Warrior. Oogway then passes on to the heavens in a stream of peach blossoms. Upon hearing that Oogway has left and that Tai Lung is fast approaching, Po, still unable to make any progress with kung fu, makes Shifu admit that he does not know how to train the panda into the Dragon Warrior. Tigress overhears this and leads the Five in an secret attempt to stop Tai Lung themselves.
DreamWorks Animation was sued in 2011 by a writer, Terence Dunn, for allegedly stealing the idea for Kung Fu Panda from him.[89] Dunn alleged that DreamWorks Animation had stolen his pitch for a "spiritual kung-fu fighting panda bear" which he sent to a DreamWorks executive in 2001.[89] DreamWorks Animation denied any wrongdoing and after a two-week trial the jurors found in favor of DreamWorks.[89]

In Kung Fu Panda 2, the production crew showed increased familiarity with Chinese culture. In 2008, after the release of Kung Fu Panda, DreamWorks CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg and other DreamWorks members, including production designer Raymond Zibach and director Jennifer Yuh Nelson, visited the city of Chengdu, which is considered as the "panda hometown".[11] In addition to seeing real pandas at the Giant Panda Research Centre, the production designer crew members learned about the local culture. Katzenberg has stated that the sequel incorporates many elements of Chengdu in the film.[12] The film's landscape and architecture also found inspiration from those found at Mount Qingcheng, a renowned Taoist mountain.[13] In an interview with the China Daily, Zibach recounted that the Panda research center influenced the movie in a big way, as did their experience of holding a month old panda cub named A Bao, which gave the idea for baby Po in a flashback.[14] It also gave them the idea of featuring Sichuan Food like Mapo toufu and Dandan noodles.[15] In an interview with Movieline, Berger stated that "we never really thought of this as a movie set in China for Americans; it's a movie set in a mythical, universalized China for everyone in the world."[16][17]
The Wuxi Finger Hold first showed up when Po caught Tigress in the hold and while the two were sparring. Po rehearsed the hold on Tigress and planned to use it to return the villain Kai to the Spirit Realm after he had managed to escape and take the chi of several kung fu masters, planning to do the same to him and all the panda villagers.

Kung Fu Panda is one of the greatest animated movies of all time, with exciting characters, meaningful quotes, and a mesmerizing plot. It starts with Po, a fat panda, and a Kung Fu fan. He excitedly attends the ceremony where Master Oogway will declare the Dragon Warrior, protector of the Peace valley and Kung Fu. After several failed attempts, he finds himself inside the stadium where the ceremony is going on, and Master Oogway chooses him as the Dragon Warrior. It disappoints everyone, especially the furious five who trained hard for this day. It comes to master Shifu to train the panda and make him the warrior everyone needs.Meanwhile, a bigger threat is heading for the valley and its people. The movie is followed by two sequels titled Kung Fu Panda 2 and Kung Fu Panda 3, released in 2011 and 2013, respectively.
